AscenFlow delivers the most comprehensive WAN traffic management solution. AscenFlow uses Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology to identify Layer 7 application traffic with pinpoint precision. The identified traffic is then categorized and given priority based on predefined Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic management policies. For example, applications can be given a guaranteed minimum amount of bandwidth and/or can be limited to the use of a maximum amount of bandwidth. This form of policy-based management is aimed at preventing network congestion while ensuring critical business applications receive sufficient bandwidth for peak performance.

Control

AscenFlow’s QoS policy-based approach protects sensitive applications while Bandwidth Limit imposes restrictions on non-business related, bandwidth draining applications. The portfolios are highly flexible and can be combined to form bandwidth structure policies based on management hierarchy, groups, classes, bandwidth allocation, auto-discovery, user authentication, quota, and connection limits.

Security

AscenFlow’s firewall uses Connection Analysis to detect and restrict excessive connections and filters all inbound and outbound traffic to prevent malicious attacks from affecting network performance. Connection restrictions will be automatically triggered upon the detection of network anomalies, thus minimizing the impact of intrusions while leaving regular traffic undisturbed.

Availability

Real-time Failure Bypassing and High Availability protect networks on the hardware level.
