Xtera has announced that AscenFlow V3.0  will be unveiled on April 1st, 2008. The release of new models M5000 and M10000 will be the latest addition into the AscenFlow family. The M5000 supports 500Mbps and M10000 supports 1Gbps, and both models are capable of supporting up to 8 fiber optical network interfaces (1000 Base SX/LX). The latest product features a new and elegant user interface which greatly improves usability by offering 3 easy steps for traffic management: traffic analysis, policy creation, and traffic monitoring. Additionally, the user interface integrates inbound and outbound traffic to take bandwidth management and network visibility onto the next level.

Leading the list of new features is the vastly improved Layer7 protocol identification. The latest upgrade involves protocol analysis as well as the revolutionary string matching technique. These features greatly enhance the product’s ability to identify encrypted applications.

Latency analysis is another important new feature that examines the latent distribution of applications. This feature helps users gain a better understanding of whether network performance is affected by bandwidth congestion or by poor  performance of remote server. These new features help increase the efficiency  of the network, maximizes business opportunities as well as reducing costs.
AscenFlow V3.0 provides for all networking needs, and will be released in these versions:
